Terms of Use
Bizjockey is preparing to launch. These terms cover the current website at bizjockey.com, including the early-access sign-up. The Bizjockey marketplace will have its own terms, which members will accept when they create an account.
1. Accepting these terms
These terms govern your use of bizjockey.com (the "Website"), operated by Right Path Advisory Inc. ("Bizjockey", "we", "us"). By using the Website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Website.
2. What Bizjockey is
Bizjockey is a planned Canadian marketplace that will introduce verified business owners to verified buyers, investors and lenders. Bizjockey will make introductions only. It does not provide valuations; legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice; or brokerage services. It does not take part in negotiations or handle funds.
Nothing on the Website is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any business, security or other investment, and nothing on the Website is a recommendation. Descriptions of planned features, pricing and launch dates may change.
3. Information on the Website
Content on the Website is general information only. It may be incomplete or out of date, and we may change or remove it at any time without notice. Get advice from qualified professionals before making any decision based on it.
4. The early-access list
Joining the early-access list lets us contact you about Bizjockey's launch, the private beta and founding-member offers. It doesn't guarantee a place in the beta, any particular offer or price, or that Bizjockey will launch on a particular date. Please give accurate information when you sign up. We may remove sign-ups that appear to be false, automated or abusive.
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. No professional relationship
Using the Website or contacting us doesn't create an advisory, brokerage, agency, fiduciary or other professional relationship with Bizjockey.
6. Intellectual property
The Bizjockey name, logo, website design and content belong to Bizjockey or are used with permission. You may view the Website for your own personal or internal business use. You may not copy, resell or republish its content for commercial purposes, create derivative works for public distribution, or use the Bizjockey name or logo in a way that suggests a connection or endorsement that doesn't exist.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
- sign up anyone else without their permission, or pretend to be someone you're not;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers or its data;
- interfere with the Website's operation, including by introducing malicious code or overloading it;
- scrape, harvest or collect information from the Website by automated means without our written permission.
8. Links to other websites
The Website may link to websites we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability, and a link isn't an endorsement.
9. No warranties
The Website is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the Website will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bizjockey is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Website or reliance on its content.
11. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for, and to compensate Bizjockey for, losses and claims arising from your unlawful use of the Website or a material breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or misconduct.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Ontario, unless the law requires otherwise.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
